Established in 1983, the Client is a Pan-European organization representing the interests of the venture capital and private equity industry to regulators and standard setters, covering the whole range of private equity: venture capital (from seed and start-up to development capital), buyouts and buyins.

The Client is looking for highly motivated professionals to join their Bucharest office.

Role:
Activity and performance private equity data collection, storing, follow up on missing information, data validation, running queries on the data. Searching for information and interpreting it doing quality checks on the data and calling players.

Responsibilities:
• perform good private equity survey(s) management (survey administration, assistance to surveyed universe to navigate the submission tool, response rate monitoring, data checkings)
• collect data from various sources of information (websites, press releases, global survey information, publications, e-wires, private equity website), validate it via a primary source of information (player’s website or phone conversation) and convert it into database entry fields and store the source of information;
• under the guidance of a Senior Analyst further populate missing fields making certain assumptions based on more general information available about the respective private equity fund (guidelines included in the Analyst Manual)
• keep mailing list up to date for the countries in charge of (new entrants, out of business/change focus, change names/contact, new/drop offices etc)
• proactively chase the increase of the response rate on the survey by calling participants either to ask for survey submission, or to get more details or clarifications on submitted data.
• coordinate work with national private equity associations for the country(s) in charge of
• run queries on the data

Cerinte:

Finance or Business or Economics or Languages BA degree;
- At least 2 foreign languages are a MUST: English - fluent and French/Dutch/ Swedish – conversational;
- ability/desire to work with numbers;
- good communication skills on the phone;
- enthusiastic;
- methodical (attention to detail is important, proper data sourcing documentation is important);
- eagerness to build knowledge about financial markets and understand the private equity cycle and deals structuring;
- proactive and analytical.
