The role:
Responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the plant including accurate and timely reporting as well as cost accounting/controlling and statutory compliance.
Reporting line:
The Plant Controller (based in Buzau) is reporting to the Financial Director (based in Bucharest) and will coordinate a team of around 4 people.
Main responsibilities:
·         Plan, organize, direct and supervise the finance, accounting and financial control function at the plant;
·         Monitor the implementation of the plant budget; prepare financial analysis for the plant and regional management incl. budget variances, cost analysis, and financial forecasting;
·         Prepare production reports such as the yield and efficiency reports;
·         Prepare/responsible for the cost accounting and controlling of the plant;
·         Ensure compliance with statutory accounting standards, maintaining the right books;
·         Develop procedures; maintain proper accounting of finished goods, work in progress and raw materials inventory and prepare production / financial analysis;
·         Complete reports with a variety of deadlines in a timely manner providing the plant management, financial management and other company personnel with needed financial information;
·         Enforce financial discipline in the plant to ensure timely reporting, cost monitoring etc.;
·         Challenge the plant management with production variances discovered;
·         Work closely with other group entities in the region to implement procedures to standardize production processes;   
·         Support plant management by identifying problem areas and developing solutions through timely cost analysis and appraisal of achieved improvements;
·         Co-operate closely with Budget & Controlling and Accounting to ensure proper financial management of the plant;
·         Represent the plant in relation to local fiscal authorities.
Main requirements:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or comparable background;
  
• Proven experience in a production environment, preferably FMCG;
  
• 5 to 8 years of accounting background in a manufacturing environment; in-depth working knowledge of general accounting, cost accounting, budgeting and reporting;
  
• At least 3 years working experience in an international/multinational environment;
  

·         Excellent personal and inter-personal skills, including being able to get needed information and support within the team and across the organization to meet critical deadlines;

• Strong analytical skills and detail orientation;
  
• Written communication skills are needed in developing complex reports;
  
• Effective verbal communication skills because of the close interaction in– and outside the plant;
  
• Understanding of the production processes is needed to provide meaningful analysis and support;
  
• People management skills are necessary in supervising and motivating the staff;
  
• Determined; Responsible; Reliable; Honest;
  
• Strong and perseverant person;
  

·         Integrity and common sense;
·         Sense of humour;

• Good level of English (any other language is an asset).
